Join Curators Andrew Satake Blauvelt (Director, Cranbrook Art Museum) and Bridget Bartal (MillerKnoll Curatorial Fellow, Cranbrook Art Museum) to explore the groundbreaking publication Eventually Everything Connects: Mid-Century Modern Design in the US, a 464-page catalog published by Phaidon to accompany Cranbrook Art Museum's exhibition of the same name.

Taking its title from the famous quote by Cranbrook alumnus and teacher Charles Eames, “Eventually everything connects: people, ideas, objects,” the publication contains works by architects and designers that explore the multitude of relationships between these three fundamental pillars. This large-scale survey celebrates works from iconic Cranbrook figures like Charles and Ray Eames, Harry Bertoia, Florence Knoll, Ralph Rapson, and Eero Saarinen alongside the historically eclipsed contributions of women, LGBTQ+ individuals, and designers of color including Joel Robinson, Ray Komai, Ruth Adler Schnee, Gere Kavanaugh, Miller Yee Fong, Lucia DeRespinis, and many others.

The event is produced in partnership with the Columbus Area Visitors Centerand will take place at the CAVC's Gallery 506 (506 5th Street). The evening will begin with a reception at 6:15 p.m. with light refreshments from Gourmet Grazing Boards and The Garage Bar. The talk will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will include time for feedback from those in attendance.
